Film Luxe Lightroom and ACR Preset (3 versions)

14.95

Film luxe is preset which combines a clean minimalist colour palette with a cinematic feel. It features cool tones, striking greens and reds, clean whites, and a slate blue tinge to the shadows. This preset is great for edgy portraits, fashion editorials, still life (think cool toned instagram feeds), blogging, and travel.

Film luxe is a complex, multifaceted preset- for high key images, it has a very clean 'Scandinavian' lifestyle type look, and for darker images it has a more filmic edgy feel.

In this pack there are 3 versions of the preset

Film Luxe 1  - cleanest version, with the least amount of highlight and shadow fading.

Film Luxe 2 - increased highlight fade, more desaturated, has a 'dreamy' quality and a more obvious slate blue tinge to the shadows.

Film Luxe 3 - increased highlight and shadow fade, more contrast and crushed blacks, and more saturated greens than the others. This has more of an edgier, slightly polaroid film type feel.

//Installation//

LIGHTROOM

Installing: after downloading presets into your folder of choice, open Lightroom and right-click on the folder you want to import the preset into. Click 'import', and select the downloaded preset.

ACR

Installing: after downloading presets, place them in the Settings folder. Once in the folder, they should appear in the Presets tab on the right when you have ACR open.

Mac: Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/Settings
Windos: c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\Settings

Using the preset:

Get the right colour temperature and exposure in your image first, then click on the preset for the edit. You may need to increase or decrease the exposure after the edit has been applied.

A NOTE ON EXPOSURE: I generally shoot slightly underexposed to optimise skin tones in my portraits- I will usually apply the preset first, then slowly increase exposure, over shoot, then decrease until the colours and skin tones feel right. If your image looks overly contrasty or muddy, an increase in exposure usually helps.
