Kirrily & Jesse- Blue Mountains Sunset Shoot
Kirrily and Jesse are the sweetest pair. I first met Kirrily through the creative community in Canberra- she is a talented model and actress (check her out on instagram- @kirrilynoble) and we had worked together on an editorial. I spent an incredible afternoon wandering around Lincoln's Rock in the Blue Mountains with Kirrily and her husband Jesse earlier in the year.
Lincoln's Rock in Wentworth Falls is the most magical spot- the white rock, the blue hue of the mountains, and that dreamy late afternoon haze gives the place an ethereal, otherworldly quality. A minimalist lover's dream location (except it was the weekend so there were lots of tourists around on the rock, but I think we did well to shoot around them).
A couple of funny things happened during our shoot. First thing- I didn't notice this at the time, but apparently there were a bunch of strangers that started taking photos of Kirrily and Jesse when we first got there- they must have thought they were a celebrity couple or something hahaha. The second thing that happened- midway through the shoot we walked past a photographer who had just arrived with another couple who were dressed in the same colours and almost identically to Kirrily and Jesse. We all had a laugh about it- I guess navy blue is a universally flattering colour.
