VSCO Cam Legacy 05 inspired Lightroom Preset

VSCO Cam Legacy 05 inspired Lightroom Preset

The Legacy series is a re-release of the original VSCO Cam presets- from #01 to #10. 05 is my favourite- I love the soft velvety-ness of the tones, and way it suits a wide range of image types from portraits, moody landscapes, and still life.

I've crafted a Lightroom preset which emulates the look of VSCOCam Legacy 05 in 3 different strengths- a regular version, a minus - version (subtle edit) and a plus + version (more dramatic edit), mimicking the intensity slider on the VSCO Cam app.

Hypebeast HB1 inspired Lightroom Preset- Street photography, Fashion, Portraits

VSCO x HYPEBEAST Preset collection (HB1 and HB2) was created by the fashion and lifestyle collective HYPEBEAST. The collection has a very street style, editorial vibe- the HB1 in particular. I love the clean highlights and the gritty bluish toned heavy fade in the shadows. Perfect for street photography, fashion blogging, urban landscapes, and editorial style portraiture.

In my HB1 presets, I am emulating the tone curves and colour shifts that gives HYPEBEAST HB1 it's look. I'll break it down as we move down the post.

14 days of Self Portraits- Red Lips, Soft Tones

Ok so when I started my #SelfPortraitADay14Days on Instagram, the idea was that it was going to be a learning experience that will have me shooting something different every day over 14 consecutive days. It's turned into something more along the lines of 14 self portraits taken sporadically over several weeks... when I remember. Will post some more when I get time.

This one was taken around 7pm when I had changed out of my work clothes but hadn't removed my makeup for the day. The light was soft, I was home alone with not much planned, and I was excited about my new Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art lens that I had bought in a moment of weakness.

I'm happy with how the images turned out, and even happier about how they look with my VSCO Cam Inspired M5 Lightroom preset, which gave it soft vintage-y tones. I have the before and after images at the bottom of the post- with this preset I almost never have to touch up skin in portraits.

Still trying out how to get more accurate autofocus with these self portraits! Any tips?
