Eliza and Jozo’s wedding was not only beautiful (Autumn at Poacher’s Pantry is just magic) but full of love. It was full of laughs too- with a fun bridal party, the world’s most hilarious father- daughter speech, and plenty of Rakia.
It was also very special to me, because it was the last wedding that I shot before the birth of my little man (2 weeks later!!), and Eliza was also a precious secret cargo.

At the end of last year I had the pleasure of shooting a maternity portrait session with Pim and her husband Matt at one of the most breathtaking locations I’ve ever been to. It was an early start for us to catch first light at Bombo Quarry ( I think I got up at 4:30 for a 5:15 arrival), but it was so worth it to photograph Pim and Matt in this surreal otherworldly seascape, with the most beautiful sunrise light.
It felt extra special to me being able to be document a little bit of Pim’s pregnancy because I was about 12 weeks pregnant at the time. Read More
I’ve always thought there was something incredibly romantic about bookstores, and if I was a bride all over again I would probably get married in one. Muse was an awesome venue- it’s a beautiful space and also quite unique for a wedding venue. Their bonbonnieres were surprise books wrapped up for each guest-how cool! I thought that was a nice touch.
Yvonne and Joe’s intimate wedding at Muse Canberra was even more beautiful than I expected- they tied the knot surrounded by their closest friends, family, and their 3 daughters.

or their pre-wedding shoot. They are from Singapore and came here for a family holiday plus destination pre wedding photos, what a great idea! The Australian landscape is very different from Singapore!
We started out having a stroll around the Old Parliament House, then drove to the Old Stromlo Observatory, and finally explored the National Arboretum - just in time for sunset. Read More
In the 6 months before they fenced off and knocked down the Bega Flats in Canberra, I had noticed the building becoming gradually quieter as the tenants started vacating. It was on my regular jogging route, and for the first time I noticed what a cool building it was. I ended up doing an editorial shoot there with Gem (images from the shoot in this blog post)
Bega was part of the 'ABC' flats - Allawah, Bega, Currong, and they were all in the process of being cleared to make way for new buildings. This reminded me of Alphabet City in New York, as it was protrayed in 'Rent'- this suddenly made the demolition incredibly evocative and nostalgic. When I heard from Laura (from Lux & Us) that she spent the first year of her life there I knew that I had to take her portraits in that location. Read More
When Sandra (whose wedding at the Fitters Workshop I had photographed last year) booked me to do a natural light family shoot for her Mum's birthday present, I was absolutely delighted. The Balzanelli's were such a fun bunch.
We decided to do our shoot at the National Gallery of Australia Sculpture Garden - it's such a beautiful spot with lots of natural beauty as well as interesting spaces. One of my favourite outdoor portrait locations in Canberra, I never get sick of it.
These are a few images from our fun afternoon. Read More
