At the end of last year I had the pleasure of shooting a maternity portrait session with Pim and her husband Matt at one of the most breathtaking locations I’ve ever been to. It was an early start for us to catch first light at Bombo Quarry ( I think I got up at 4:30 for a 5:15 arrival), but it was so worth it to photograph Pim and Matt in this surreal otherworldly seascape, with the most beautiful sunrise light.

Getting people to relax in front of the camera can sometimes be the most challenging part of taking portraits, but there were no problems getting some natural smiles from these two- Nicholas had Katrin in stitches for most of the shoot!
