I've recently built a new preset inspired by some images sent to me by a lovely customer. I don't normally do custom presets but I felt like the look of what she showed me was super cool and would fit in nicely with my little preset family.
Violet Mood has a violet-tinged matte look that works well for editorial portraits, lifestyle images, and moody landscapes. In brighter high key images it gives a clean airy look, in darker images there is a certain moody vampiness to the edit that makes portraits that little bit more bad ass. And on purple hair- oh my.
As usual, the preset pack has Violet Mood in different strengths: a regular strength (Violet Mood) a double minus version (Violet Mood --) for a more subtle edit, Violet Mood-, and Violet Mood + (with more contrast, fade, and more dramatic hue, luminance, and saturation shifts). Softer portraits do well with the minus versions. There is an addition preset tool included to lower the contrasty qualities in portraits which you click AFTER applying the base preset (Violet Mood Skin Fix)- included for photographers who are less inclined to tweak the settings.

In the before/after images in this post I've abbreviated Violet Mood to VM (because laziness). Hover over the image for more info on what was used. Enjoy!
