Anika and Rylan first crossed paths eight years ago while studying in Canberra — and yes, it all started with a few cheeky puns on Tinder. Fast-forward to now, and they’ve built a beautiful life filled with adventure, a house of their own, and their furbaby, Luna the miniature dachshund.
From hiking through Iceland and diving with whale sharks to European road trips and mornings spent chasing the best coffee, their relationship is grounded in curiosity, connection, and lots of laughter. “We try not to take ourselves too seriously,”.
From the get-go, Anika and Rylan knew they didn’t want a cookie-cutter wedding. They wanted something fun, relaxed, and full of heart. “Like one big picnic and dance party,” they said — and honestly, mission accomplished.
The Senate Rose Gardens next to beside Old Parliament House, provided the perfect setting for their autumn ceremony. Spiral Botanicals brought the season to life with earthy-toned florals in deep maroons and burnt blush, adding a rich, textural contrast to the crisp garden surrounds.
Post-ceremony, the party continued just a short stroll away at Rosa’s at The Lawns. This new garden bar has big backyard energy- lawn games, cocktails, doggo guests, and wood-fired pizzas that had everyone going back for seconds. The reception ended with a big afternoon dance party- just like they wanted.
