Copper Chimney Indian Restaurant, Canberra

The food is always tasty (chicken chettinad, fish methi masala, Lal Maas are some favourites) and authentic, and the service excellent.

The atmosphere is intimate and the restaurant is a really lovely space to spend the evening. I have a peculiar obsession with lighting in restaurants - it needs to be on the dimmer side, and with the right colour temperature (warmish without being yellow). It's silly, but I just feel like it creates an atmosphere that I enjoy so much more and I am often turned off a place with harsh lighting even if their food is excellent. I am an odd creature.
